Case study

Yimaru Academy

From YouTube and in-person classes to a live mobile LMS — 5,000 downloads in two months.

Yimaru Academy started by teaching courses on YouTube and in person. Yaltopia Tech built the full learning platform — web admin, learner experience, and the Android mobile app now on Google Play — so they could run courses, assessments, and paid enrolments in one product.

At a glance

  • Moved teaching from YouTube and in-person sessions onto a dedicated LMS
  • Android mobile app plus web admin for content, instructors, and support
  • Course → sub-course → video learning tree with assessments and progress
  • 5,000 downloads and 4,100 users within two months of launch

Before the product, Yimaru Academy taught through YouTube and in-person classes. That worked for reach, but it could not support structured courses, progress tracking, or paid enrolments at scale. Yaltopia Tech designed and built the LMS as a modular product: a learner experience on web and mobile, and an admin for the people who run it day to day. We shipped the Android app alongside the platform so students could take courses on their phones — the same content operators publish from admin.

Yaltopia Tech built our learning platform end to end — admin, content workflows, the learner experience, and the mobile app. They moved fast without cutting corners on the product.

Impact highlights

Use cases

How Yaltopia Tech powers this customer.

Use case01

Leaving YouTube and the classroom for a real product

Yimaru already had demand — students found them on YouTube and showed up in person — but there was no product around the teaching.

The problem

Video on YouTube and live sessions could not track progress, sell enrolments, or give instructors one place to publish.

The solution

We built a course tree with categories, sub-courses, video lessons, and assessments, then shipped an Android app so learners could study on their phones.

Impact

Teaching moved into a product students download, with 5,000 installs in the first two months.

Use case02

Running the academy day to day

Support, instructors, and admins needed one console for users, content, issues, and notifications.

The problem

Fragmented tools made it hard to see who was enrolled, who had paid, and where learners were stuck.

The solution

We shipped a role-based admin for user management, publishing, issue tracking, notifications, and analytics — the same backend the mobile app uses.

Impact

The team publishes courses and handles support from one admin while learners study in the Play Store app.

Two months after launch the app is live on Google Play with 5,000 downloads, 4,100 users, and more than 30 paying subscribers. As Yimaru adds cohorts, certifications, and richer reporting, this case study can be updated with the next wave of results.

Yimaru Academy is a production LMS and Android app delivered by Yaltopia Tech. The mobile app is on Google Play: [Yimaru LMS](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yimaru.lms.app&hl=en).
